handmade christmas challenge week 7 – thanksgiving

thanksgiving with myfrenchtwist.comWhat? Thanksgiving? You mean there’s another holiday BEFORE Christmas?!

I know, I know. We’ve been so busy with our Handmade Christmas challenge, we’ve hardly had time to think about Thanksgiving. You know, pilgrims… turkeys… and most importantly, a time to reflect on all the blessings in our lives.

In light of the terrorist attack on Paris, I’m even more thankful this year for my friends and family – all well, all safe.

This week is all about Thanksgiving. Many of you will be putting your Christmas trees up soon, but mostly you’ll be cooking. So plan your meal. Make that shopping list. And bring out the aprons & dish towels.

But… in case you’ve been so busy focusing on the food, you’ve failed to think about the ambience, I want to pass on some table setting inspiration. Just for fun, these are some really cool Thanksgiving ideas I stumbled upon.

These tablescapes were posted by Apartment Therapy. I just love the modern, fresh looks.

If you prefer a more whimsical decor rather than a formal one, try these sweet little paper pumpkins I posted recently.

Don’t forget to decorate the outside, too. Love these simple pumpkins from Inspiring Pretty.

Most of all, just remember to be thankful, thankful.
