supplies needed:
- newspaper cupcake liners
- paper cups
- bamboo cocktail picks
- assorted veggies and fruit
The newspaper cupcake liners are food safe, made from greaseproof, biodegradable paper. The paper cups you need should have a bottom diameter of 1.75″.
step 1 – make cups
Cut the paper cup to about half its original height, as shown below.
Referring to the photo below: (1) Place a small dot of glue in the bottom of the paper cup, then place a newspaper liner into the cup. (2) Next, apply a few small dots of glue around the outside of the body of the cup, then place cup inside another newspaper liner. Gently press the liner around the cup. (3) Lastly, softly place the cup – with a liner inside and a liner outside – into a second uncut paper cup. This will mold the shape of the outside liner around the inner cup. Let sit for a few minutes. When dry, gently remove the outer large cup.
step 2 – add food
Fill the charcuterie cup with any assortment of food you prefer. I used biscotti, celery and carrot sticks, grapes, cheese squares, and pepperonis folded into roses. To make the roses, start with two slices of pepperoni; fold the bottom up; then roll from left to right; secure with a bamboo skewer.
Place the newspaper charcuterie cups on a tray, serve as an appetizer, and get ready to rake in compliments.

Wendy, these are great, and one of my features for SSPS #401.
