There’s something pure and genuine and oh so lovely about Easter. It’s time to reflect on our faith, time to savor all that’s good and trustworthy in our lives, and time to greet Spring with the smell of promise in the air. I wanted to reflect this in my Easter tablescape this year, and I think I just may have captured that feeling.

I was hunting for a new tablecloth. My table is an antique English hunting table and very large, so I usually expect to pay a small fortune for a nice tablecloth. However, I was happily surprised this year and found this simple blue chambray cloth at Target for $17! Enough said. (Here‘s a similar tablecloth with a bit of a boho feel.)
When I noticed the frayed edges, my wheels started turning. I folded the napkins in the shape of birds’ nests and filled them with white candy eggs. You can see how to fold the napkin in this video tutorial.

The napkins came in a bundle of four, wrapped in a matching cloth strip with a button. I couldn’t let such cute packaging go to waste, so I wrapped it around mason jars as vases.

I love my white dishes; they are so versatile and I can change the ambience of my table settings easily. This time I paired them with blue and white polka dot plates I also found at Target (on sale!). I added two strips of cork ribbon down the center of the table, then filled the jars with flowers.

My favorite things about this tablescape, however, are my silver bunnies. I’ve used them for several years, but only recently did my husband remark that they seemed to have an attitude!

Happy Easter, friends. Hope you feel inspired by this Easter tablescape.
