easy beaded stretch bracelets

I know you’ve spotted them – little beaded stretch bracelets, sometimes stacked 10 high, making fun & colorful statements for Spring. I just love them. And it turns out, they are pretty darn easy to make.

Ready to get started? Tiny glass seed beads are beautiful, but I prefer beads that are just a bit larger. However, it’s purely preference. For this project, I decided to be practical and use the leftover beads I have in my studio.

(1) First, cut a piece of stretch cording one & a half times the circumference of your wrist. Tape one end of the cord (Scotch tape works fine) to prevent the beads from falling.

(2) Then string the beads, one by one, onto the cord in any arrangement you like. Be as creative as you like. Combine different colors and even sizes to create a unique bracelet.

(3) Once the beaded bracelet is long enough to fit around your wrist, pull the two cord ends tightly together and tie a knot. Trim the ends. If possible, conceal the knot by tucking it inside one of the larger beads on the bracelet.
