Ever have a photo pinned to one of your Pinterest boards for what seems like years? I have. This very cute beach cover-up from Anthropologie. It caught my eye and I immediately envisioned how cute a black and white seersucker summer robe would be trimmed with colorful pom pom tassels.
I’ve been looking at this photo for months now and still haven’t moved beyond the inspiration stage into the actual production. Until now. The challenge for this month’s craft club was meant for me – “It’s a Wrap.” It’s always fun to see how each member interprets the assignment. But for me, it was clear. It was time to make my Anthro-inspired summer robe!

materials needed:
- 3 yards of 45″ wide seersucker fabric (I used a stripe design but since then found this awesome check)
- pattern – Burda 6294
- 26 ” small ball fringe (I used hot pink but later found this multi-color fringe I love even more!)
pin, cut and stitch
If you are a seasoned sewist, this pattern really is as easy as pin, cut and stitch. I used the Burda 6294 pattern and modified it a bit. I shortened the length of the body and the sleeves. The instructions for this simple, unlined wrap were easy to follow. It took me less than 2 hours.
