how to print on tissue paper

How to print on tissue paper… sounds simple, doesn’t it? And it is, as long as you follow a few easy tips. Once you master the technique, your custom tissue paper can be used for a myriad of crafts and functions. Let’s do it!

supplies needed:

step 1 – preparation

Cut a piece of tissue paper just a bit smaller than a piece of copy paper. Tape the edges of the tissue paper to the copy paper, spreading it out flatly as you go.

step 2 – printing

Download your design to your computer. Size the design appropriately. I chose a design that I arranged using a photo editing app, then sized it at 5″ x 7″. However, once I pushed the “print” button, I sized it again using the printer selections.

Load your copy paper (with tissue paper taped on top) correctly into the printer, so that the design will print onto the tissue paper side. You should run a test sheet through the printer and mark it, so you know how to properly load it.

Once the printing is finished, let the design dry thoroughly.

Once dry, gently remove the tissue paper from the copy paper. Now it’s ready to be used for whatever creative idea you are hatching! Also, check back here next Friday to see what I’ll be using this tissue paper for!

The biggest compliment is a little share – pin the photo below!
