macrame bunny ears teething ring

Recently I made some adorable homemade baby items, so with Easter on its way, I decided to add a macrame bunny ears teething ring to the ensemble. I’m just gonna come out and say it. This little gizmo is so honking cute! I mean, they’re macrame bunny ears. It’s quick and easy to make; and the pattern can also be used for Easter napkin rings.

supplies:

Cut 4 pieces of cotton yarn, each measuring 90 inches in length. Next, I suggest watching the following video all the way through to get a clear overview of the tutorial. Then view the video again, following each of the steps. *I have also included a written list of the steps below as an easy reference.

*Step-by-step instructions:

  • Tie 4 pieces of cotton yarn onto a wooden ring with Lark’s Head Knots.
  • Using the first 4 individual cords, make a vertical chain of Square Knots (also called a Square Knot Sennit); the chain should measure approximately 6 inches long.
  • Make a second chain of Square Knots with the remaining 4 individual cords.
  • Attach the ends of the chains to the ring, using the process shown in the video.
  • On the back of the ring, knot the loose ends, as shown in the video. Trim excess cords.

  3. That is so sweet, what a lovely idea. It would be perfect to add to a basket or box of gifts for a baby shower.

  4. Neat!!They look so cute! The video makes it look so simple. But knowing me, i’d probably end up with a giant knot. Lol šŸ™‚
