what i’m digging in august – spoonflower

Spoonflower. If you haven’t heard of this company, then you’ve either been busy crocheting ruffled toilet paper covers or making flower pot people for your front yard. Stop it, now. This is 2023. And although Spoonflower has been around for a while, I’m constantly surprised at how many people haven’t heard of them. It is an online company offering print-on-demand fabric, home decor, and even wallpaper designed by independent artists around the world.

First, let me say that this is not a sponsored post. It’s my unsolicited opinion – something I probably share way too often – and my excitement over how much I love this creative company. They totally rock. Here’s why…

Their fabric choices are endless! I’ve been busy decorating our new lake/country house and wanted a shower curtain with a Modern Spanish Revival vibe. Try finding that at Home Goods. But I scoured through Spoonflower and found just what I wanted. You can see my tutorial for making a simple shower curtain here.

They have ready-made home decor items. Yep, Spoonflower’s not just for sewists, although if you have a fabric fetish you can easily spend hours scrolling through their selections. But if you’re shopping for a ready-made comforter or throw pillows, look no further. I bought these pillow covers in a variety of fabrics with Spanish tile designs. They have zipper closures and are incredibly well made. (I didn’t buy the inserts though, because I prefer the down pillow inserts at Ikea that are also much cheaper.)

Their quality is excellent. There are a few other companies that offer print-on-demand textiles, but I have found Spoonflower to be the best. Their quality has never disappointed.

My next project is to wallpaper the bar/kitchen area in the rec room at Casita. And I’m sure you already guessed that I’ll be buying it from Spoonflower. After all, it’s what I’m digging in August.

The biggest compliment is a little share – pin the photo below!
